Kate to Keira for “Strength”
Coco Mademoisell is a perfume that until today I have never heard about but has remarkably grasped my interest. I havd a confession, I love Keira Knightley her pictures are on my wall, my MySpace and my computer dektop. This comes to a relating point because her image has found its way to the Coco Mademoisell campaign to contribute "strength" according to the E! online article posted today.
"We think Keira is the perfect Coco Mademoiselle woman because she is always incredibly alluring and seductive…What makes Keira exceptional is that she shows strength and independence through the film roles she chooses to play," said Dagousset.
Ok, Keira does play strong roles and has established herself authoritively in roles like the fearless-bounty-hunter Domino Harvey in, Domino, The terribly-stubborn Elizabeth 'Lizzie' Bennet in Pride and Prejudice and of course that pirate-loving Elizabeth Swan in Pirates of the Carribean, but, i have to say, how strong can you make a fragrance called "Coco Mademoiselle."
PR does make a big difference, but how much can be done to change the image of a fragrance once aligned to the face of Kate-modleing-since-fourteen-Moss?
Keira, godbless and goodluck with that crazy job of lending your strength to a fragrance marked by passive femininity. My best bet goes to Ms. Knightley's strong-girl persona being dragged down to a more feminine and aristotic standpoint.
